Attendance Reporting
Full-day absence, late arrival, or early checkout
Attendance Reporting
Report attendance using one of the methods below.
Beginning in the 24-25 school year, parents/legal guardians can submit full-day absences using ParentVUE. Learn more about attendance reporting through ParentVUE.
Before 9 a.m. and after school hours, a 24-hour answering machine will record your message. If the school does not receive a call from the parent, the absence will be considered unverified.
When reporting a student's absence, please be specific about why your student will not attend school today.
- If reporting an ill student, include symptoms, especially if they have a fever, nausea, vomiting, sore throat, and/or cough. If your student has a diagnosis from a healthcare provider, please include that information.
Types of Absences
Excused Absences
Illness of the student, death in the family, doctor’s or dentist’s appointments, and observance of a religious holiday.
Prearranged Absences
If parents are aware of a future absence, they may contact the school to report the absence and the related date. Extended absences, typically for hardship reasons, must be documented and submitted to the school at least three to five school days in advance for review and action.
Unexcused Absences
Family trips, childcare situations, non-school-related activities, or missed school bus.
Any child who is absent from school for 15 consecutive days or more must be withdrawn from our enrollment. Upon the child’s return, the parent must again officially enroll him/her.
Entering the Building
Please ring the front entrance doorbell and let the front office know that you are checking your student in for late arrival or picking your student up for early dismissal. After entering the building, please sign your child out in the office.
